Camera Tech has been repairing cameras and lenses in Orange County since 1978.

And through all those years, one thing has remained remarkably simple: Mike does the repairs.

There is no service department behind the counter, no repair work sent somewhere else, and no chain of technicians passing equipment from one bench to another. When you bring a camera or lens to Camera Tech, Mike evaluates it, tells you what he finds, and performs the repair in-house.

After this many years at the bench, he has worked on everything from vintage mechanical cameras and classic German equipment to professional film and digital systems, lenses, shutters, light meters, and plenty of cameras whose owners were beginning to lose hope.

Not every one can be saved.

Knowing the difference is part of the job.

After 47 years in Anaheim, Camera Tech moved to the City of Orange in 2025.

The address changed. The shop did not suddenly become something else.

Camera Tech is still a single-technician repair shop. Mike still evaluates equipment in person. Repairs are still performed in-house. And the approach is still the same: find out what is actually wrong, explain it clearly, and repair it properly when the repair makes sense.

Today, Camera Tech provides camera and lens repair in Orange, California, serving customers throughout Orange County and Southern California.

The work includes film and digital camera repair, lens repair, CLA service, battery corrosion repair, and light meter and shutter calibration.

But the basic process hasn't changed much.

Bring in the camera. Let Mike look at it. Get an honest answer.

Because good cameras are worth understanding before they are written off.

Some are working tools. Some have been in a family for decades. Some are collectible. Others are simply cameras their owners enjoy using and would rather repair than replace.

That does not mean every camera should be repaired.

Parts disappear. Damage can go too far. Previous repair attempts can complicate things. And sometimes the cost and work involved simply do not make sense for the equipment.

Mike will tell you when that is the case.

Camera Tech has never been about promising a miracle. It is about knowing cameras well enough to determine what can be done—and being straightforward when it cannot.
